Our Annual Purple Heart Banquet for 2024 will start at 3:00 PM!

This will be the 15th Annual Purple Heart Banquet and once again, we will be at Richland Creek Community Church. Our Annual Banquet is an incredible way to pay tribute to any recipient of the Purple Heart. A refreshingly patriotic event, anyone in the community is welcome to attend or volunteer at the Banquet. Mark your calendar and make your plans now! Delivering the keynote will be 2024-2025 National President of American Gold Star Mothers, Patti Elliott. AGSM’s membership is composed of mothers who have lost a child while serving or in connection to service in the Armed Services.

Ms. Elliott is the very proud mother of Brad Elliott of Wake Forest, and SPC Daniel “Lucas” Elliott, who was killed on July 15, 2011, in Basra, Iraq. Lucas was an MP in the Army Reserve, attached to the 805th MP CO, located in Cary, NC. In 2009, he volunteered for deployment with the 810th MP CO out of Tampa, Florida, and completed a tour in Iraq. Upon his return, he reattached to the 805th and deployed with the 805th in May 2011. Lucas’s awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge.
